Journeyman Carpenter: Toronto/OakvilleWhat we are looking for You are an experienced carpenter with a background in building a variety of projects from renovations to houses. Who are we? NexGen Homes was founded to build sustainable, affordable, and custom homes for a wide range of clientele in southern Ontario. We have extensive and highly reviewed experience in custom framing, interior and exterior finishing and general contracting. Job Description You will work with the team to produce outcomes that ensure high client satisfaction through professional appearance, expert workmanship and polite communication. We are looking for candidates with excellent time management skills and will be responsible for tracking the progress and any needs of the projects and reporting to the Project Manager. Ability to read blueprints, schematics, field drawings and plans is key and you have a solid understanding of all construction trades and construction techniques. Skills - Read and interpret blueprints, drawings and sketches - Build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring, erect walls and roof systems - Fit and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings and hardware - Framing for houses, decks etc. - Drywall - Exterior finishes Qualifications - 3-5+ years of experience as a carpenter - Red seal/journeyman certification in carpentry is a bonus but not required - Ability to manage work independently - Advanced understanding of construction tools and ability to read construction blueprints - Access to a vehicle to get to jobsites and transport tools (as needed) - Valid G driver’s license and a clean driver’s abstract Job Type: Full-time Salary: $20.00 to $30.00 /hour (based on experience)

We have extensive and highly reviewed experience in custom framing, interior and exterior finishing and general contracting. Job Description You will work with the team to produce outcomes that ensure high client satisfaction through professional appearance, expert workmanship and polite communication.
